Fixed Noise Monitoring Station (…4-20mA)
Overview
Monitoring noise in the workplace is crucial for both environmental compliance and occupational safety. The MK440 Environmental Noise Monitor is engineered to be a robust and precise solution for continuous noise measurement.
MK440 Environmental Noise Monitor: Your Solution for Fixed Noise Monitoring
The MK440 Environmental Noise Monitor from Cirrus Research is a fixed noise monitor designed for accurate and reliable measurement of environmental and workplace noise levels. Its compact and lightweight design allows for easy deployment in a variety of outdoor and industrial settings. This instrument provides real-time Sound Pressure Level (SPL) measurement. With direct integration via 4-20mA signal into existing SCDA/DCS/PLC systems. With a Class 2 Microphone the results are useful for environmental noise compliance or OHS compliance.
Pair with DS8 Panel Meter for local alarm triggers and re-transmission of the 4-20mA signal, or use the HD50 Series Web Data Logger for data recording to a Cloud Service.
Optimized for Environmental Compliance and Occupational Safety:
- Continuous Monitoring & Real-Time Data Analysis: Gain immediate insights into noise levels with advanced functionality for continuous monitoring and real-time data analysis. This allows for prompt identification of noise excursions and ensures ongoing adherence to regulatory limits.
- Hazardous Environment Approved: The MK440 is approved by FM Approvals for use in hazardous Class 1 Division 2 hazardous environments (USA, Canada), including mines, gas pumps, processing plants, and food/beverage manufacturing locations. This crucial certification ensures safe operation in potentially dangerous atmospheres without igniting flammable vapors, gases, or liquids.
- Seamless Integration: Equipped with an industry-standard 4-20mA output, the MK440 can be easily integrated into existing process measurement and control systems. This allows your own loggers and software to provide accurate representation of live noise levels and facilitate data storage for compliance reporting.
- Robust & Reliable: Built on the proven technology of the MK427 Noise Sensor, the MK440 is designed for durability and minimal routine maintenance beyond annual calibration. It boasts an IP65 rating, making it suitable for outdoor installation.
- User-Friendly Installation: With no dials, controls, or displays on the unit itself, the MK440 simplifies installation and operation.
