Water Quality FAQs
What water quality parameters can your instruments measure?
Our range covers pH, conductivity, total dissolved solids (TDS), turbidity, temperature and, on request, dissolved oxygen. Combination meters measure several of these parameters with one instrument.
What is turbidity and why is it measured?
Turbidity is how cloudy water is, caused by suspended particles. It is a key indicator of drinking water quality and of how well water and wastewater treatment processes are working. We supply portable and bench turbidity meters, including the Delta OHM HD25.2 and TN420.
Are your water testers suitable for field use?
Yes. Pocket and portable meters such as the PC5 and P613 combination meters are designed for use in the field, while bench instruments suit laboratory testing.
Who uses water quality testing instruments?
They are used in water and wastewater treatment, environmental monitoring, aquaculture, agriculture, food production and industrial processes, anywhere water quality needs to be checked against a standard.
Do water quality meters need calibration?
Yes. pH and conductivity meters should be calibrated regularly with buffer and standard solutions to keep readings accurate. Contact us for calibration support and the correct calibration solutions.
