Which gas detector brands do you supply?
We supply gas detection equipment from Industrial Scientific, BOSEAN, mPower Electronics and Honeywell. The range covers personal single-gas and multi-gas monitors, photoionisation (PID) detectors for VOCs, fixed gas transmitters and gas control panels.
Should I choose a single-gas or a multi-gas detector?
A single-gas monitor is the right choice where one known hazard is present, such as carbon monoxide or hydrogen sulphide. Confined space entry and areas with several possible hazards normally call for a multi-gas monitor that measures oxygen, flammable gas and toxic gases together.
What is a PID detector used for?
A photoionisation detector (PID), such as the MiniRAE or the mPower NEO range, measures volatile organic compounds (VOCs) at very low concentrations. It is used for industrial hygiene surveys, leak detection and protecting workers from long-term exposure to solvents and fuels.
Do you supply fixed gas detection systems?
Yes. We supply fixed gas transmitters, such as the BOSEAN GT-K90 and BH-60, together with control panels like the S-8000. Fixed systems monitor an area continuously and can trigger alarms, ventilation or shut-off equipment.
How often should a gas detector be bump tested and calibrated?
Manufacturers recommend a bump test before each day's use and full calibration at regular intervals. We offer calibration, and Industrial Scientific's iNet solution can manage bump tests and calibration for a whole fleet of instruments.
