Run Rite Electronics, the official distributor and service agent for Alcolizer Technology in Africa, remains committed to supporting customers through a smooth transition as technology evolves.
Although Alcolizer Technology discontinued calibration and repair services for the Wall Mount 3 (WM3) devices in Australia as of June 30, 2022, we are pleased to announce that within Southern Africa, we will continue offering calibration and repair services for both WM3 and WM4 devices through 2025. This extension aims to give users ample time to upgrade to the Alcolizer Quantum device, a state-of-the-art solution for alcohol breath testing.
Why Upgrade?
The Alcolizer WM3 has served its purpose as a robust and reliable breath testing device. However, these units are now over 20 years old and approaching the end of their lifecycle:
- Component Availability: New parts are no longer being manufactured or readily available.
- Standards Compliance: The WM3 does not meet the updated AS3547:2019 certification standards and cannot switch to the required unit of measure, grams/210L of breath.

The Alcolizer Quantum offers advanced functionality, improved accuracy, and compliance with AS3547:2019. To support users in making the switch, we are offering trade-in agreements for WM3 devices, making it easier and more affordable to upgrade.

We deeply value our customers’ loyalty to the Alcolizer brand. In fact some WM3 devices have been in consistent service for over 20 years at some coal mining sites in South Africa. To honor this commitment, we are also offering Service Level Agreements to reduce the cost of ownership on new equipment and stabilise costing over an extended period.
Training for Success
To ensure users can confidently transition to new devices, Alcolizer offers online training courses covering the operation of the Quantum devices, as well as broader alcohol and drug testing protocols. Of course we facilite on-site training as well!
